1) Good Lord, you're right, he does have 6 fingers. Perhaps the the result of one of his own experiments? (Nah.) And the one eye is because his 'muzzle-mohawk' is just blocking the other one from sight, he's always been drawn like that.

3) These guys have 'aspirations' but not really 'plans', mostly involving making things. Un-natural things. When you're in the grey-market bioengineering racket, you tend to just accumulate things that may or may not have effects on your various experiments.
