It's always fun to see Riley and Carl engage in "unevolved" behaviour. But I hope that's not a dirty sock. And just what is it made of? Hard rubber? It still looks intact in panel 4. Shouldn't it be ripped and torn up?
The anime in the dogverse (caniverse?) is called "fist of the dogstar"? Seriously?
1) Indeed! Mali is... well, she has her own flaws. One of them is that she's always looking for ways to benefit from people around her.
2) Yes, I love giving them opportunities to be de-evolved. And yes, that sock has been worn a bit... but it belongs to Carl, so he doesn't mind having the dirtier side of it. Riley, meanwhile, gets the cleaner ankle portion. And no, it isn't rubber, it is however one of those fortified premium sports socks that I mentioned. It's strengthened with durable elastics so that it can stand up to the abuse of being on a very active dog's paw.
3) Yup, seriously. In the Caniverse, the Yappanese are just as hoakey as the canines of the United Spots ;)
Nope, Carl just has some gross habits. However, now that I think about it, there could be a huge market for something like that. Therapeutic chewing socks, the new figet spinner! We should go into business!
